Be Mine

The Coaches from Fun Stampers Journey have an exchange of cards, gifts items and 4 by 6 scrapbook pages at least 4 times a year.  This time I was given three names to design and make and mail a card to.  I had a great deal of fun making this Valentine time card for 3 special ladies and I even made another one for my dear friend Rose.

Using a larger card Beach Breeze card stock was added for the back ground and then Love and Marriage Floral paper.  Two and one half inch squares of Pineapple Smoothie card stock were covered with the back side of the floral, which has hearts. Lace was added to the bottom of one square and to the top of the other.  A Spellbinders Die, Medallion was cut from Watermelon Fusion card stock and placed in the center.  Two different stamp sets were used  and two different stamp pads. Journey Glaze was added to the center heart to bring out the color. Next, just a little bling of rhinestones.

HUGS

Everyone needs to feel warm and loved. A hug card allows you to do just that. Its a small card that measures 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. A great thing about a hug card is you can use up your scraps to make some really cute cards. Sending you a extra special

I hope you like these little gems!  Remember if you give a hug, you get one back!

LOVE

Happy Friday!  It has been a great week and I have enjoyed the time creating new cards.  This valentine card chosen for today was easy and fun to make.  I embossed a piece of Strawberry Cream card stock and then used a heart die to cut out the heart. The new scrapbooking tapes that are available are trouble free to use and enhance the card. I placed those at the bottom of a piece of Martha Stewart’s Valentine paper.  I layered the Strawberry Cream Heart with a Vines of Passion Heart cut from Candy Apple Red. There is nothing like the intricacy of Spellbinders Dies to add additional beauty to the card. Finally, I used a paper flower from Recollection and the Love you saying from FSJ to finish off my card.

Love Forever

Valentines Day is one of those days I truly love! I tell my husband, Bruce, everyday how much I love him and how lucky we are and because of love, hope, prayers, great friends and family, he survived the past two and a half years with heart problems, liver disease and asthma. So this card I made for him!

Waiting for my Valentine Stamps, I decided to use paper crafting to make this card. Dollies just seem to fit in with Valentines Day so, I just started folding one to see what would happen and this is the result. It truly reminds me of a handkerchief. Knowing the doily alone would not do, I used a die cut for the heart, added Journey Glaze and glitter. The final touch is the saying, Love Forever!

       Supplies Used:

Card Stock from Fun Stampers Journey Yummy Cherry and Strawberry Cream
Heart Paper from Martha Stewart Crafts
Stamp from Fun Stampers Journey
Heart Die from Memory Box
Dollies from Recollections
Ribbon from Celebrate It
Glitter and Glaze from Fun Stampers Journey

Hope you like the card as much as I know my husband, Bruce will.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy creating!

FSJ KIT OF THE MONTH

It is a beautiful day in Southern California!  Yesterday, I completed my Fun Stampers Journey Kit of the month.  I enjoyed making the the cards and smile when I think of the creativity of our Designer/Owner, Richard Garay!

Each month Fun Stampers Journey has a Journey Blooms Card Kit. December's Kit included four Valentine Cards.  They are really delightful and are easy to complete because of the very complete instructions.  There is a Stamp Set included with the set entitled, “0nly You.”  Of course all the paper is cut, embossed and ready to be stamped and assembled.  If you like what you see, you can order the kit from - www.myfunstampersjourney.com/store-2
Be sure to say Barbara sent you!

Blue On Blue

It has been along time since I have posted anything on my blog and I even had to make a new blog so I could post.  So here is my first post for 2014.  As a for Fun Stampers Journey, I try to participate in their weekly challenge as much as possible.

This weeks challenge is to use all blues.  I choose a bird stamp from our Holiday set entitled - “Christmas Melody.”  The card stock is from our paper collection. I chose Huckleberry Fusion and Lovely Blue. The Damask paper is called Magnetizing is by Kaiser Craft.  Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallion Labels were used to enhance the bird that was colored using our stamp pads, Huckleberry Fusion and Lovely Blue.  Journey Glaze was added to make the bird pop. Finally the greeting “Thinking of you,” is from our stamp set entitled - “Little Big Greetings.”

I am so happy with the way it turned out. Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend and Happy Creating!
